Description

Description
The GPS Series 10-passage rotary unions provide ten independent flow passages for simultaneous transfer of different media. They employ specialized sealing technology for vacuum and bidirectional pressure service. Stainless steel construction suits hydraulic, pneumatic, coolant, water and other corrosive media; carbon steel variants are available for non-corrosive applications. GPS 10-passage models ship standard with NPT threaded side connections on shaft and housing. Optional axial O-ring face seal glands are available and must be specified at time of order. The GPS Series is designed to integrate directly with electrical slip rings to combine fluid transfer with electrical power, signal and data transmission.

Key features
  • 10 independent passages for simultaneous transfer of multiple media
  • Specialized sealing technology for vacuum and bidirectional pressure service
  • Standard materials: Stainless steel housing and shaft; carbon steel available for non-corrosive applications
  • Standard connection: NPT threaded side connections on shaft and housing
  • Optional axial O-ring face seal glands (must be specified at time of order)
  • Designed for integration with electrical slip rings (fluid + electrical integration)
  • Suitable media: Air/Gas, Chemical, Coolant, DI/Tap Water, Oil/Hydraulic, Water/Glycol (some media/temperatures may require alternative seal materials)

Connection type summary
Common connection types and applicable series: NPT (standard for GPS, GP, SPS, LT), BSPP, BSPT, SAE-ORB, ASME-BPE and medium-pressure/custom connections are available depending on series and application. Axial O-ring face seal glands are an optional shaft connection (must be specified at time of order).

Notes / Application guidance
  • Chemical or water-based media may require alternative sealing materials.
  • Applications above 220° F (105° C) require alternate seal materials.
  • Operational life depends on rotational speed and duty cycle; required torque may be higher for media other than Oil/Hydraulic or when dry running.
  • Consult the factory for applications near maximum speed, continuous high-speed duty, or unusual media/temperature combinations.
