Description

Overview
The ESM Series electrical slip ring is a compact capsule-style rotating assembly designed to transfer power, control circuits and analog/digital data between stationary inlets and rotating outlets. It features high-performance gold-on-gold contacts, precision ball bearings for long service life, low electrical noise and flexible, color-coded lead wires. Standard models are available from 9 to 52 circuits and support data speeds up to 50 megabits/second. Units include seals for light dust and splash environments. An optional IP65 rated protective enclosure is available for enhanced protection against water and dust. Combined fluid + electrical integrated packages (fluid rotary union + electrical slip ring) are available as an option.

Main features
  • Transfer functions: power, control circuits, analog and digital data
  • Contact material: gold-on-gold contacts for low electrical noise
  • Bearing: precision ball bearings for long service life
  • Lead wires: flexible, color-coded leads
  • Sealing: seals for light dust and splash; optional IP65 protective enclosure for full water/dust protection
  • Typical circuit range: standard models 9 to 52 circuits
  • Typical current ratings: 2A, 5A, 10A (per circuit options depend on configuration)
  • Data transfer capability: supports data speeds up to 50 Mbps (non-Ethernet)

240V | ES, ESM, EST, ESE, ESET
600V | EST, ESET

Notes on digital data
Reliable digital signal transfer depends on a combination of application parameters (topology, wiring, cable length, rotational speed, electromagnetic interference, etc.). Performance figures (e.g., "up to 50 Mbps") refer to typical ESM series conditions and do not guarantee compatibility with all digital protocols. For Ethernet/100Base-T/1G requirements, select series specifically designed for those data rates.
