Most motor customization projects are not based on revolutionary concepts, but on a series of precise technical adaptations required to perfectly match a specific application.
Mechanical modifications are among the most common. Shaft dimensions, mounting flanges, end shields and fixing interfaces are frequently adapted to meet integration constraints. Bearing configurations may also be modified, including special tolerances, integrated freewheels or tachometric bearings for speed monitoring.
Material selection is another key factor. Depending on the operating environment, motors may require corrosion-resistant materials, high-temperature solutions or compatibility with specific chemical conditions.
Thermal management is also critical. Motors operating at low speed or controlled by frequency inverters may require forced ventilation to maintain reliable cooling independently of rotational speed.
