UL-Certified Motors and IP68 Underwater Applications Our first experience with UL certification came through a particularly demanding project: a motor developed for a NASA-related application. Despite the complexity of the requirements, the certification process was completed in only six weeks, thanks to clear specifications, efficient communication and strong project coordination. A later UL certification project for another motor followed a very different path, taking nearly six months. This experience highlighted an important reality: certification is not only a technical process. It also depends on project organization, communication efficiency and the priority given by all stakeholders. It is also important to understand that UL certification is not a universal approval for a motor range. It is granted for a specific motor design, integrated into a defined application and evaluated according to its intended use. Over the years, we have developed and certified more than twenty different motor types for applications across America, Europe and Asia. These include demanding solutions such as IP68-rated motors designed for permanent immersion, where electrical safety, insulation systems, materials and long-term reliability must meet strict requirements. Today, UL certification has become a core expertise: combining motor design, international standards compliance and application-specific engineering to deliver reliable solutions for customers worldwide.
