Description

PTFE cup seals are piston sealing elements used in hydraulic and pneumatic systems to provide a dynamic sealing interface on piston heads, plungers, and rams. In some designs, a central relief feature or hole may be included depending on application requirements.

PTFE cup seals function as a self-energizing sealing solution, where system pressure helps maintain sealing contact between the seal lips and the mating surface, ensuring stable sealing performance under operating conditions.

Dytron specializes in the custom manufacturing of PTFE cup seals according to customer drawings or application requirements. We select appropriate virgin or filled PTFE materials based on working conditions such as pressure, temperature, media compatibility, wear resistance, and friction performance.

Filled PTFE grades, such as carbon-filled or graphite-filled formulations, can be used to improve mechanical strength, creep resistance, and wear behavior in demanding dynamic applications.
