This prefabrication system was created in the 1960s to meet the initial needs of large Italian construction and oil companies, which required structures to accommodate personnel in a comfortable and safe manner, both in Italy and abroad, for long-term projects. Edilsider was one of the first companies in Europe to design and ship housing camps worldwide. The first version, called “Sidermajor,” remained in production until the late 1990s, before evolving into the current “Siderhall,” developed in the 2000s. This evolution stems from over 30 years of experience in designing, shipping, and assembling camps globally, as well as the need to meet the growing demands of clients worldwide. The Siderhall is based on a structural system patented by Edilsider, called “HSN.” The system consists of a few components that can be assembled and disassembled with ease. It adapts to any project and meets structural requirements for snow, wind, and seismic loads. Buildings up to three stories can be designed with any type of exterior and interior finishes. The “HSN system” is extremely lightweight and produced in a fully automated process, without the use of labor, making it highly competitive while maintaining superior strength and speed of assembly compared to any other structural system. All profiles and components are shaped and stamped at our facility.
