Product overviewThe handheld StratoTest 4500 C measures refractory lining thickness in rotary kilns used in cement and brick production. Instead of the traditional method requiring many inspection drillings, the instrument uses one calibration borehole and then performs non-invasive electromagnetic (eddy-current) measurements. The method is non-destructive and safe for the operator, enabling fast, reliable determination of lining condition and thickness for cement, dolomite, magnesite and fireclay bricks up to 300 mm.
