Overview The PoroTest 7 locates pores, pinholes and other defects in non-conductive coatings on conductive substrates such as steel, aluminium and concrete. Using a controlled high-voltage method it reliably detects microscopic defects (>20 µm) and is suitable for boilers, pumps, tanks, offshore installations, drilling rigs, ships and pipelines.
Applications- Inspection of insulating coatings on conductive bases (steel, aluminium, concrete)
- On-site testing of tanks, vessels, pumps, pipelines and maritime/offshore structures
- Pre-commissioning checks and maintenance inspections
Benefits- Early detection of coating breaches that can lead to internal or external corrosion
- Reduction of risks to sensitive products and hazardous chemical reactions
- Minimises costly rework by identifying defects before service
