Model HBF-300W, UL Listed Wafer Butterfly Valve, is designed for use it in flanged piping systems and held in place using two flanges and a series of nuts and bolts. A Wafer Butterfly Valve requires to have the flanges on either side of it connected to each other in order to hold the valve in place. But first, the entire fire sprinkler or standpipe system must be shutdown and drained before installing or removing this valve. How do you install a wafer type butterfly valve? 1．Set auxiliary screw at proper place, to regulate distance between two flanges or groove faces. 2．For wafer butterfly valve, insert the valve and screw on the rest bolts, align inner circles on the pipeline, make sure valve center and flange center are concentric and disc switch position are not blocked by flange inner diameter or near parts, then repeatedly tighten bolts at uniform diagonal. 3．For grooved butterfly valve, firstly set the sealing ring on pipeline or valve groove end, align groove end, move sealing ring to joint of valve and pipeline, install hoop, tighten hoop bolts, make sure valve center and flange center are concentric and disc switch position are not blocked by flange inner diameter or near parts, 4．After finishing installation, once again make sure full open and full open angle.
