Dual wall Heat shrink tubing of ElringKlinger Engineered Plastics is specially used in applications where media tight closure of the tube is required. Their functionality consists of one inner and one outer tubing. The outer heat shrink tubing is made from Polytetraflon™-PTFE and is more temperature resistant than the inner Moldflon™-FEP or -PFA tubing. When shrink fitted, the internal tubing liquefies and with pressure from the outer tube, produces a leak free connection. The standard lengths of dual wall Heat shrink tubing is 1220 mm prior to shrinking. We also provide Polytetraflon™-PTFE or Moldflon™-PFA stoppers for sealing bigger parts. On request, we can manufacture from materials which are required to confirm to standards such as FDA or USP class V1 for example or to individual customer specifications.
