Overview
The new ESDEX series is a modular, compact ESD generator / simulator (ESD gun) designed and manufactured by EMC PARTNER. It is the next-generation successor to the ESD3000 and is engineered for maximum comfort, intuitive operation, flexibility and high performance. The series is available in 8 kV, 16 kV and 30 kV versions and supports a broad range of interchangeable RC networks to ensure compliance with international standards including IEC 61000-4-2, ISO 10605, RTCA DO-160 and MIL-STD-461.

Models

• ESDEX8 — 8 kV ESD generator / simulator with fixed 150 pF / 330 Ω RC network. Suitable for R&D and development stage testing.
• ESDEX16 — 16 kV ESD generator / simulator with exchangeable RC networks. Ideal for product standard testing up to 16 kV; upgradeable to 30 kV.
• ESDEX30 — 30 kV ESD generator / simulator with exchangeable RC networks. Suitable for higher voltage requirements such as automotive and larger laboratories.

Applications
The ESDEX series covers a wide range of application areas: industrial (IEC 61000-4-2), automotive (ISO 10605), defence (MIL-STD-461), avionics (RTCA DO-160 Section 25), e-mobility and general consumer/industrial electronics testing. A variety of accessories are available for each application area.

Software & Reporting
Free software is provided for data transfer, loading/saving user setups and tests, downloading reports and installing firmware updates. The ESDEX-TESTSUITE option assists in creating customized test plans and reports according to IEC 61000-4-2 and ISO 10605. Reports can be exported in formats such as PDF, CSV and HTML.

Safety & Performance
The ESDEX units feature automatic bleed-off, self-check tests, reduced proximity effect measures and high-quality components to ensure reliable, reproducible and safe ESD testing results.
