Description

A sling is a lifting accessory that connects a load to a handling device. It can be used for both lifting and pulling, offering a high level of safety during handling operations. Depending on the application, chain slings, cable slings, or textile slings can be used. Available in 1, 2, 3, or 4 strands, they can be adapted to the weight, shape, and nature of the load. Known for their strength, slings can support several tons. In accordance with current standards, each sling is subjected to a load test: 1.5 times the maximum working load (MWL) for chain and cable slings according to standard EN 818, and 2 times the MWL for textile slings according to standard EN 1492. Overview of the Emile Maurin slinging range: - Chain slings: their modularity allows for configurations with 1, 2, 3, or 4 strands, depending on the load to be lifted, with grade 100 or 120 chains to meet different lifting requirements. - Textile slings: these are lightweight, making them easy for operators to handle, and flexible, limiting the risk of marking or damaging sensitive loads. - Hooks: designed for reliable and secure attachment, available with different types of locking mechanisms (automatic or latch) and connections (clevis, eye, swivel, or strap). - Hooks and shortening claws: designed for precise adjustment of the length of chain sling strands according to the lifting configuration. - Links, chain links, and swivels: ensure a strong and durable connection between slinging components. The range includes several models such as quick links, chain links, connecting links, and swivels, adapted to different mounting and rotation requirements. Advantages of the Emile Maurin slinging range: - Compliance with current safety standards (EN 818, EN 1492, etc.) - Wide choice of configurations and materials: chain, textile, alloy steel - Suitable for heavy, irregular or fragile loads - Excellent resistance to extreme conditions: heat, abrasion, corrosion Technical characteristics / specifications: - Types: Chain slings, cable slings, textile slings - Strands: 1, 2, 3, or 4 - Chain grades: 100 or 120 - Compliance: EN 818 (chain/cable), EN 1492 (textile) - Load test: 1.5x MWL (chain/cable), 2x MWL (textile) - Accessories: Hooks, shortening claws, links, swivels - Materials: Chain, textile, alloy steel - Applications: Lifting, pulling, handling heavy/irregular/fragile loads - Resistance: Heat, abrasion, corrosion
