Description

Product description
The USD50B differential pressure sensors with a piezoresistive silicon sensor and welded metal diaphragm are designed for process and environmental industries. Typical applications include level, volume and mass measurements in liquids or gases, differential pressure monitoring (e.g., across filters and pumps) and flow measurement (volume or mass flow).

Advantages
  • Measurement ranges Measurement ranges from 10 mbar to 40 bar for broad applicability.
  • Bridge output Uncompensated bridge output (mV/V) with cable connection.
  • High overload resistance Single-sided up to 160 bar (optional 420 bar), double-sided up to 240 bar (optional 630 bar).
  • Housing material Stainless steel 316L housing.
  • Reliable readings High accuracy, repeatability and long-term stability.
  • Customizable Various diaphragm materials and filling oils available on request.

Standardized measuring ranges
  • 0…100 mbar / 10 kPa (Overload: 160 bar one-sided, 240 bar two-sided)
  • 0…500 mbar / 50 kPa (Overload: 160 bar one-sided, 240 bar two-sided)
  • 0…3 bar / 300 kPa (Overload: 160 bar one-sided, 240 bar two-sided)
  • 0…16 bar / 1.6 MPa (Overload: 160 bar one-sided, 240 bar two-sided)
  • 0…40 bar / 4 MPa (Overload: 160 bar one-sided, 240 bar two-sided)

Optional increased overload range
420 bar (one-sided), 630 bar (two-sided).

Output signal and power supply
  • Recommended: constant current supply < 1 mA
  • Bridge resistance: 4.3…5.6 kΩ (at 25 °C)
  • Output signal (span): 22…55 mV/V

Size and operating conditions
  • Dimensions: Ø 55 mm x 40 mm
  • Ambient/process temperature: -40 to +85 °C
  • Storage temperature: -40 to +85 °C

Usage notes
The sensors are uncompensated and serve as a basis for building differential pressure transmitters. Customer-side compensation and calibration for the specific application are required.
