OverviewDirect processing of PET and rPET for thin-wall injection moulding. Developed and demonstrated at K 2022 in collaboration with ALPLA Group, Brink and IPB Printing. The ENGEL e-speed 280 is fitted with a new injection unit with increased injection capacity to enable direct PET/rPET processing in a single-step injection moulding process.
Machine seriesHybrid, high-speed injection moulding machine designed for demanding thin-wall applications and high cycle rates. Suitable for production of thin-wall containers and packaging components with PET/rPET compatibility and tool integration.
Application / Demonstration- Direct processing of PET and rPET (demonstrated with 30% rPET)
- Thin-wall containers and packaging components
- In-mould labelling (IML) with side-entry IML integration
- Collaborative system solution with tooling and automation partners (Brink tooling; Brink side-entry IML)
