Homogenizers are the machines that operate in semi-wet environments and used for the homogenizing products. These machines do not produce the slicing action achieved with our semi-wet product slicers. This range of homogenizers is designed and manufactured by EP MECA with optimal productivity and energy consumption in mind. Description : Homogenizers are part of the emulsion production process and are used after dispersion of the mix. The dispersion stage simply suspends the droplets. The homogenization stage on the other hand aims to reduce the size of the droplets so that the emulsion acquires the required properties and is stabilized. Homogenizers use a piston pump system : the product is compressed and then forced through a very small opening to produce the emulsion. When exiting the devise, sudden release of the product causes a cavitation phenomenon which breacks up the drops.
