They are particularly suitable for measurement in hard-to-access places and on both flat and curved surfaces. The extremely thin design makes it very easy to measure the external temperature of piping and other line systems, for example. In the Pt100 elements, a wound platinum wire is embedded between a Kapton foil. The foil can be provided with adhesive film ex works if required. Cable lengths and connection technology in a 2, 3 or 4 wire circuit are produced as per customer requirements. The foil thermometers are also available as thermoelements (TE-FPI) of type (J), (K) and (T).
