They are often used in positions with little space, in machinery housing, or to monitor the temperature of surfaces, such as in switchgear cabinets. The screw-in housing made from aluminium, brass or stainless steel is available with or without a protective pipe, with permanently sealed hose line, PTFE single wires or a pressed connector.
