• Cable resistance thermometer in ceramic sleeve • Insulation resistant to high voltage for use in winding heads Description Cable sensors in ceramic sleeves make a larger application spectrum possible than sensors insulated with shrinking tubes. Casting the sensor in a ceramic sleeve fixes internal components into position and creates increased mechanical protection. The improved electrical insulation also enhances the thermometer’s resistance to high voltages. Cable sensors in ceramic sleeves are therefore predominantly used for installation in the copper winding of electrical machinery.
