esitron has developed the compact SC8 servo controller especially for small spaces. The compact booksize module (112x68x28mm) with 24 to 60V DC supply and high power density has everything on board that belongs to a "real" servo controller: freely configurable inputs and outputs with 24V logic, as well as safety functions, ballast circuit with integrated resistor, industrial connectors with adapted connection cross-sections and protective circuits. The control of a holding brake is also possible.
Multiturn absolute encoders with Hiperface or SSI as well as Hall switches or incremental encoders are supported as motor feedback.
Positioning tasks can be stored directly or individually commanded via field bus. The interfaces Profibus, PROFINET, CANopen, EtherCAT and RS485 are available for this purpose. Alternatively, an analogue +/-10 V signal can be used to specify the setpoint for speed or torque. In addition, there is the input function clock/direction for hunting or as stepper motor replacement. The data is stored in a maintenance-free EEPROM, without buffer battery. Status and error indication is provided by 3 LEDs and additional status outputs.
The safety functions STO (Safe Torque Off) and SBC (Safe Brake Control) ensure simple and safe integration into the machine concept.
The functionality of the "esiMot" series, which has already been approved for 15 years, has been transferred to the SC8, so experienced users can use this new device in the usual way
The PC software "ServoLink" allows conveniently all necessary settings.
