Flaking Roller Mill
In order to produce flakes, you will need - apart from a steamer and a tempering bin - one thing above all: a flaking mill which shapes the moistened and heated grains as desired.
Via a feed roller, the product is fed uniformly to the two flaking rolls adjusted parallel to each other with a gap, which corresponds to the desired flake thickness. A cooling and heating device for the rolls offers the opportunity to flake also products which can only be flaked at certain temperatures.
The specially manufactured scrapers below the rolls prevent unwanted product adhesions. The flakes are discharged directly below the flaking rolls and are conveyed to a fluidised bed drier.
The SCHULE flaking roller mill consists of a very robust welded construction and generously dimensioned roller bearings which reduce possible vibrations to a minimum and ensure a long service life as well as smooth and quiet operation. Furthermore, the flaking roller mill is equipped with robust flaking rollers which are made of a special cast steel. Hot-pressed shaft ends and easy access to all wear parts provide quick and easy maintenance of the flaking roller mill.
Advantages of the flaking roller mill:
• Robust and durable design of the flaking rollers
• Vibration-free operation due to special roller bearings and shock absorbers
• Quick and easy to maintain
• Efficient cleaning of the rollers due to hydraulically adjustable scrapers
The high-performance SCHULE flaking roller mill is the core of our flaking line. Efficient and gentle flaking of the respective products is achieved thanks to the ideally adjusted gap and individually adjusted heat of the rollers.
