The SCHULE flake screen is used for control screening of any type of flakes downstream of the flaking process, be it oat, rice, pea or wheat flakes.
After flaking with the flaking roller mill and subsequent drying and cooling in the fluidised bed drier, the flakes produced pass from the outlet of the fluidised bed drier directly into the inlet of the flake screen. The product distributor in the inlet of the flake screen spreads the product evenly on the top screen, which sorts out lumps that may have formed. The through fraction falls onto the lower screen. The overs of this screen represent the accepted product, whereas the fines are screened off. These three fractions are discharged via a separate outlet.
Two unbalance motors under the flake screen generate the necessary vibrations, and the mechanically adjustable screen inclination provides the angle required to convey the flakes towards the outlet. The SCHULE flake screen is made of stainless steel and food grade plastics. The screen decks for fractioning the flakes are divided, which facilitates and speeds up the change of the respective screens. Sampling sockets at the sides ensure fast sampling during operation. To cover different capacity ranges, the SCHULE flake screen is available in three different sizes.

After control screening with the Schule flake screen, the flaked products are discharged carefully by means of a special pendulum bucket elevator.
