Armoured face conveyors manufactured by the FAMUR Group are modern machines designed for use at faces of medium and high mining concentration. They are made of materials with high abrasion resistance which guarantees a long service life of individual subassemblies and low failure rate, which minimises the maintenance at the face. They allow mining in continuous operation. These machines are designed for different types of discharges: front, side or cross types. Even under heavy load smooth movement is achieved thanks to two-speed motors, hydrodynamic coupling with an adjustable filling level (operational liquid flow) or motors with frequency converters. They feature the equipment facilitating mechanisation of works related to a follow-up chain tensioning and constant tension control. Face lump breakers can be mounted on the conveyors. As part of the longwall system armoured face conveyors can be used with roof supports and various types of shearers and any beam stage loaders. These products meet the requirements of the ATEX Directive 94/9/EC and the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
