Overview
The Solar Power option provides an all-inclusive solar powering solution for outdoor sirens. Solar charging of batteries is an efficient method to power remote sirens, alerting systems, or control equipment. Typical applications include remote tsunami sirens, muster stations, and tornado or civil warning sirens.

Product Details
The PVS260W-24, PVS400W-24, PVS260W-48, and PVS400W-48 deliver either 260 W or 400 W of solar power depending on model to charge batteries for 24 Vdc or 48 Vdc systems. Each system includes Solar Regulators for charge control, protection, and panel monitoring. Kits use two 130 W or two 200 W high-efficiency solar panels with pre-wired junction boxes. Mounting hardware is aluminum for a lightweight, high-strength installation and withstands wind loads up to 170 mph. Each kit includes 25 feet of cable for connection from the panels to the Battery Cabinet. The Solar Regulators support gel, lithium, sealed, or flooded batteries and provide temperature compensation to extend battery life and improve performance. Federal Signal determines the appropriate panel direction and tilt for each installation based on location and recommends gel batteries for solar applications.
