Detailed features (selected)Heated Veneer Press with Elkom® electric heating platens (HVP Typ 1)The electric platen consists of a loading support and a 12 mm thick aluminium sheet housing the electric resistance for uniform heating and fast temperature control.
Heated Veneer Press with warm water heating (HVP Typ 2)The platen construction includes:
- Aluminium surface layer for optimal finish and heat transfer
- Steel sheet
- Steel coils for warm water circulation
- Support tube pipes
- Thermal insulating layer (plate made of wood fibre)
Heated Veneer Press with Thermo oil heating (HVP Typ 3)The pressing platen is available with thermal oil heating. Construction: fabricated steel platen rated for a maximum pressure of 5 kg/cm². Temperature: standard maximum operating temperature 120° C; higher temperatures available on request. Platen components: aluminium surface for finish and heat transfer, steel sheet, steel coils (warm water circulation), support tube pipes and thermal insulation (wood-fibre plate).
Other functional features- Synchronized rack-and-pinion guide — large rail guides and torsionally rigid joints ensure parallel lift of the pressing plates
- Optional sensor monitoring — magnetic sensors check plate parallelism and prevent uneven pressure distribution
- Raised cylinder guide — upper lip of the hydraulic cylinder casing is raised so the cylinder remains coated in oil, preventing seal drying and extending service life
