Modul chamfering and deburring machines in the CD series offer various technologies for precise chamfering and deburring of cylindrical straight and helical gears prior to hardening. Chamfering is performed using the tool carriage integrated within the hobbing machine and tools on the cutter arbor at a station connected to the hobbing machine or as a separate machine. Standard cutting discs, profiled cutting discs or brushes are used for deburring. The CDT provides an especially space-saving version in which the tool carriage is housed within the hobbing machine's work area. This version can also be fed with tools for different operations.
