Overview
The LMX2 650 from Fom Industrie is a continuous-flow machining and cutting line combining a multispindle machining unit, an optional FU 500 5-axis unit and a downfeed cutting X MODULE with a Ø 650 mm blade. The line accepts bars up to 300 x 300 mm and is configurable in six variants for loading/unloading magazine lengths and left/right feed direction.

Main features

• X MODULE: downfeed cutting unit with 4 controlled axes (X, Y, Z and rotation A) and Ø 650 mm blade; two groups of motorised vices for alignment and pneumatic locking; vice tables equipped with blowers for chip removal.
• Multispindle machining unit: machining on four faces; optional tilting electrospindles with pneumatic or controlled rotation for oblique operations; provision for rigid tapping electrospindles; preconfigured to receive up to 18 HSK-C40 electrospindles.
• FU 500 (optional/additional unit): 22 kW, up to 24,000 rpm electrospindle; 32-position automatic chain magazine; dedicated magazine for Ø 500 mm blade; supports milling, boring, head/end machining, rigid tapping, standard and pyramid cuts.
• Cutting unit with infinite 360° blade rotation for continuous process flow and cut-to-length output.
• Profile feed system: horizontal and vertical non-scratch rollers; optional controlled-axis device for tilting and automatic support of complex geometries.
• Loading magazine: accumulation and horizontal transfer of profiles; controlled device for transfer to bar feeder rollers.
• Unloading magazine: fast extraction, stacking and compaction on motorised belts with a blowing phase for cleaning finished parts.
• XPULL: patented unloading gripper optimised to maximise unloading surface and increase autonomy.
• X PUSH: patented supplementary gripper for loading solid profiles and profile packs (shutter machining).
• X LAB: patented automatic label printer for applying labels to the moving bar (top or rear).
• Gripper with automatic controlled positioning for rapid, accurate pickup at variable angles.
• 55" LCD screen for program and bar visualization; adjustable INDUSTRY control panel mounted on the guard cabin.
• Soundproof cabin with wide visibility and luminous Fom Industrie logo indicating machine status.

Integrated software
FSTLine4 is the management software for Fom Industrie cutting and machining lines. It centralises machine programming, joblist management and line control in a single application and is integrated with the LOLA system.
