Product OverviewHigh speed disperser is a type of mixing equipment widely used in industries such as chemical, coating, paint, pigment, adhesive, food, and medicine. It is primarily designed for rapid mixing, dispersion, and dissolution of liquid and solid materials. The equipment utilizes a high-speed rotating dispersion disc to exert strong shear and centrifugal forces, ensuring materials are thoroughly mixed and quickly dispersed into a uniform liquid or slurry.
Working PrincipleThe main working component of the high speed disperser is the impeller, most commonly a sawtooth disc impeller. Driven by a high-speed rotating dispersion shaft in a clockwise direction, the impeller creates a rolling circulation in the mixing tank, generating a large vortex in a turbulent area. In this region, dispersed phase particles are subjected to intense shear and impact, allowing them to be rapidly dispersed into the continuous phase. Outside this turbulent area, upper and lower streams are formed, ensuring full circulation and turnover of the continuous phase. If the impeller operates in a laminar state, the viscosity shear force between liquid layers of different speeds enhances the dispersion effect.
Operation and EfficiencyHigh speed dispersers provide both mixing and dispersing actions. Initially, low-speed mixing is used to prevent dust when the dispersed phase is still on top of the continuous phase. The speed is then increased to boost dispersion capacity. The circumferential speed of the impeller should be controlled to avoid liquid splashing, excessive exposure of the disc impeller, and air mixing, which can disrupt laminar flow, reduce dispersion efficiency, and increase power consumption. The maximum circumferential speed is generally about 25-30 m/s.
Principles For Selecting High Speed Disperser- It is necessary to clearly understand the effects and purposes of using the high speed disperser.
- It is necessary to have a detailed understanding of the properties of the materials.
- Select the agitator of the high speed disperser based on the materials.
- It is necessary to determine the operating parameters and structural design of the disperser.
- Consider the installation cost while considering the equipment cost of high speed disperser.
