Overview
A high-speed disperser, also called a high-shear mixer, is used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics industries to mix, dissolve, disperse and emulsify materials quickly. It consists of a motor-driven shaft with an impeller that generates high shear and turbulence to break agglomerates and disperse solids into liquids.

Motor
The disperser is equipped with an electric motor that drives the shaft and impeller to deliver the torque and speed required for dispersion.

Mixing vessel
Materials are processed in a tank or vessel; vessel design and size depend on application and batch volume.

Shaft and impeller
Shafts are made of durable materials (e.g. stainless steel); impellers are shaped to produce high shear and controlled turbulence for effective dispersion.

Speed control
