PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Z.STRIP G is an elastoplastic compressible and permanently tacky pre-formed sealing strip, ready to apply in a variety of cross sections to customers requirements. Resistant to sunlight and non-setting the strip produces a durable weatherproof and airproof seal in joints of glass, metal, wood. TYPICAL USES • Glazing of doors and windows. • Installation of curtain walls and prefabricated panels. • Installation of household appliances into kitchen furniture. • Sealing in air conditioning systems. • Metal frames PROPERTIES Composition : polyisobuthylene Availability : strips in a variety of rectangular or round cross-sections, supplied in reels containing parallel strips protected by two transparent plastic films. Colour : grey, black Adhesion : good to glass, metals, wood plastics and painted surfaces Ageing resistance : very good Water absorption : negligible TECHNICAL DATA Non-volatile content : 100% Penetration at 20°-26°C (300 gr. cone) : 6,5 - 9,5 mm. * Resistance to temperature : -30°C +70°C METHOD OF USE Surface preparation: the surfaces must be clean, dry and free from dust and grease. Application: no limits. Cross section of strip must outsize slightly the joint one. Application of sealing strip: apply the strip to the substrate, remove the protection on one side pressing lightly, then remove the second protection and assemble the other component of the joint in position. Owing to its plastic characteristics, the sealing strip should always remain under slight compression. Application temperature: over + 10°C.
