Flow rates of 5 lit/s can be easily achieved. With the FSM screening unit working upstream an optimal fitting for the treatment of waste water coming from a single source is possible. The operation is simple with the waste water being pumped into the flume of the screen where the major part of the cleaning happens. The screenings are pushed outside and de-watered. The water then is forced through the screen where coarse material are held back. Wear due to grit and stones are taken care of and do not affect the screening unit. The screen and compactor use components from FSM. The grit chamber is built complying with the DWA standards when it comes to separation of mineral particles.
