The coalescing filter, inserted in a housing designed for correct fluid dynamic operation, crossed by a “polluted” flow, suitably slowed down by the geometry of the machine, allows the separation of oily substances and hydrocarbons in general. The emulsion benefits not only from the filtration of polluting oils but also from the oxygenation of the same which occurs first in the dry chamber, where the liquid arrives by natural fall from the weir mouth and subsequently upon re-entry into the car, slowing down considerably the growth of colonies of anaerobic bacteria.
