If flammable gases and vapors need to be monitored in hazardous areas, the CC22 ex transmitter is a reliable and economical solution. The CC22 ex transmits measured values and status indications digitally (RS-485). In combination with GfG's reliable controllers, it can be installed in new gas detection systems or retrofitted into existing ones. The CC22 ex uses catalytic combustion (CC) to detect flammable gases and vapors such as methane, propane and hydrogen. The long-life sensors make the CC22 ex an economical solution for detecting a wide range of combustible gases in the measuring ranges of 0 to 100 % LEL and 0 to 4 % by volume (NH3). Its automatic temperature compensation and the linearization of the measuring signals ensure high measuring accuracy.Explosion and device protection The CC22 ex is ATEX certified for use in Ex zone 2. The housing is protected against the ingress of dust and water (protection class: IP65). Communication and service Signals are transmitted via the digital RS-485 interface (Modbus protocol). The CC22 ex uses a status LED to indicate its operating status. Service and adjustments can be carried out on site using a smartphone app or magnetic pen (one-person adjustment). Test gases for function tests can be inserted through a calibration adapter. If the CC22 ex has been installed near the ceiling, a specifically developed remote calibration adapter allows the test gas to be inserted without affecting the sensor's stack effect.
