Batch processing unit

General description
Glass Service produces several batch plants for the glass industry for various glass types and production capacities. The semiautomatic batch plant is a tailor-made solution designed to customer requirements and local raw material availability.

Raw material source
For each batch plant Glass Service provides a tailor-made intake solution. Customers can select the raw material source and the plant accepts different transport or packaging methods.

Raw material storage and handling
Storage can be via silos or bulk storage bays. For each packaging type Glass Service develops suitable discharge systems (e.g., automatic bag openers with dust filtration or fully pneumatic feeding). The batch plants handle blending of main raw materials as well as refining and decoloring agents. All dust sources are detected and controlled by dedicated filters to minimize powder emissions.

SemiAutomatic batch plant
The semiautomatic batch plant requires some manual operations for batching preparation. Recommended for lower capacity installations and low-investment projects where reduced automation lowers initial cost while limiting human errors.

Control system
The control system manages all batching phases from raw material input to furnace batch silos. The integrated control panel includes functions for equipment drivers (motors, vibrators). Based on a PLC, the system integrates control and power drive functions and provides recipe management, graphical plant views, alarms and historical recording.
