Description

The Series 590 Gas Chromatograph is manufactured by Gow-Mac Instrument Co., and has a Discharge Ionization Detector (DID) which allows analysis of trace gas impurities in the part per billion (ppb) range. The DID is non-selective, non-radioactive, universal and concentration-dependent. The instrument has a detector sensitivity of < 10 ppb CH4 and a detector linearity of > 105 which guarantees efficient output. Other technical parameters of the Series 590 include an analytic precision of ± 1% full scale and a power of 120-240 V, 50-60 Hz. The instrument is enclosed in a helium-purged housing which eliminates system contamination and increases system sensitivity. The independent flow control of column carrier gases and detector discharge gas is achieved through bellows-type metering valves.
