Description

Product overview
Alulase Premium is an anodized aluminium sheet formulated for CO2 laser surface engraving. It produces deep, homogeneous black markings with high contrast on metallic surfaces and is intended for industrial nameplates, signage and identification applications.

Key advantages
  • Deep, uniform black engraving with excellent contrast on anodized aluminium (suitable for nameplates, signage and identification).
  • Optimized for CO2 laser surface engraving with fast, repeatable results for production environments.
  • Conditionally suitable for outdoor use in dry, humid, rural, urban or mildly industrial/marine environments (see limits in specifications).
  • Good mechanical durability: shearable and sawable for finishing and cut-to-size workflows (mechanical cutting required; CO2 lasers do not cut aluminium).

Typical applications
  • Manufacturer nameplates and equipment plates.
  • Industrial synoptics, control panels and typeplates.
  • Indoor and many outdoor signage where a premium metallic finish and high legibility are required.
  • Small labels, badges and identification plates for industry and buildings.

Practical notes
  • Process: Surface engraving with CO2 laser — produces deep black engraved marking. CO2 lasers cannot cut aluminium; use mechanical cutting methods for separation (shearing, sawing, CNC).
  • Not suitable for subsurface engraving, heat bending or hot-stamp finishing.
  • Recommended finishing: cutting, shearing or sawing to size; silk-screen printing is compatible; avoid hot-stamping and heat bending.
  • Outdoor suitability depends on exposure conditions; operational temperature range approx. -20°C to 80°C.

Technical specifications
  • Finish: Matte
  • Composition: Anodized aluminium
  • Typical engraving depth (CO2 surface engraving): approx. 0.05 mm (0.002")
  • Primary use: Indoor & outdoor (see environmental limits)
  • Outdoor resistance: Suitable for dry and humid, rural, urban, slightly industrial or maritime environments (not for highly aggressive chemical/industrial atmospheres)
  • Mechanical working: Shear and saw compatible for cutting to size (do not use CO2 to cut aluminium)
  • Scratch resistance: Yes
  • Flexibility: No (rigid aluminium)
  • Break resistance: Good
  • UV resistance: Yes
  • Minimum temperature: -20°C (-4°F)
  • Maximum temperature: 80°C (176°F)
  • Full sheet size: 1000 x 500 mm (39 x 19 in)
  • Half sheet size: 500 x 500 mm (19 x 19 in)
