Description

Features
  • The on-track machine, known as Sleeper carrier, transports new and reclaimed railway sleepers stored on pallets.
  • A gantry crane running on two lateral rails travels at 20 km/h to transfer pallets between storage wagons and the track renewal train.
  • Lateral and frontal protection walls secure pallets and prevent sleeper fall during transit and handling.
  • Sleeper carrier is certified under the following standards:
    • IN 1418 for running on the French network
    • NFF 58002 for working on the French network
    • Directive 2006/42 EC


Capabilities
  • Loads up to four pallets, each carrying forty sleepers (5 layers of 8 sleepers separated by wooden battens).
  • Equipped with external illumination and 230 V AC electrical wiring for on-site power supply.
  • Minimum curve radius in running mode when wagons are bridged: 150 m.
