EXT-401 Explosion Proof Telephone The EXT-401 Explosion Proof Telephone provides safe and reliable communications for Class I Division 1 areas deemed to be hazardous due to the presence of flammable gases, vapors, dust or fibers. Guardian Telecom's Explosion proof equipment is intended for use in the highest hazardous area classifications. They are designed and constructed to "contain" explosions within the equipment to prevent an explosion from igniting the hazardous atmosphere outside the unit. The ExT-401 telephone is designed and certified to operate with normal telephone energy thus eliminating the costs and limitations of intrinsically safe barriers. - Oversized buttons for gloves-on operation - Corrosion and moisture resistant circuitry - Intrinsically safe handset with heavy duty cord - Field replaceable handset and fuse - Explosion proof, no isolation barrier required - Copper-free cast aluminum housing - Temperature range -40º to 60ºC (-40ºF to 140ºF) - Selection of 8 models with Link & Redial buttons and 8 models with Volume Control buttons (replacing L&R) Additional combined or individual features can include CE20 Line Powered Ringer, Ring Detect Relay, Headset and Backplate.
