Description

The PROTIG 231 DC FV is a very compact and portable pulsed direct current TIG welding power source. Its PFC technology enables it to operate from 85 V to 265 V and produce a very stable arc, even with on 100 m site extension leads. When welding with an electrode, its pulsed MMA mode makes it easier to weld welding. DC Standard: smooth current welding on most ferrous materials. DC Pulsed up to 2 kHz: controls the temperature of the molten pool, limits distortion and enables the assembly of thin sheets from 0.3 mm. Standard MMA: rutile and basic electrodes (up to Ø 5 mm). Pulsed MMA up to 500 Hz: facilitates welding in a vertical upright position (pipes/pipelines, etc.). 2 aiming modes : - Spot: adjustable aiming from 0.1 to 60 seconds of the parts before welding. - Pulse: adjustable from 0.01 to 60 seconds on thin sheet before welding. 2 types of ignition: contactless HF or contact LIFT for electro-sensitive environments. 3 trigger controls: 2T, 4T and 4T LOG. - State-of-the-art secondary control for optimum arc stability and constant current in all positions. - Stores up to 50 programs per process for repetitive tasks. - Advanced menu for optimum welding control. - Current and voltage display during and after welding (DMOS/QMOS) - Automatic torch detection: compatible with reed, double button, potentiometer and Up&Down torches.
