Overview
The SPEED-Cut 480 is a compact high-performance 5-axis cutting machine designed for fast, precise processing of timber elements without measuring, marking or setup. Its flexible saw unit enables cuts at any angle and inclination. Configurations range from a basic 5-axis cutter to fully equipped CNC processing centres, adapted to company needs.

Materials and cross-sections
Suitable for: timber frame, roof truss, KVH, glulam, I-joist, LVL and solid timber components. Processing cross-sections from 20 x 40 mm to 240 x 480 mm; unlimited lengths depending on configuration.

Flexible modular system
The modular design lets you extend the basic machine with additional units at any time: drilling, milling, slotting, marking, labelling, cross-cutting and more. The saw unit alone supports many secondary operations beyond simple length cutting.

5-axis processing
The 5-axis unit features a powerful, infinitely variable drive for trimming, grooving, milling and drilling. The flangeless saw blade rotates 360° and pivots up to 90°, enabling birdsmouths, eave cuts, stair stringers and under-support machining of the workpiece.

Highlights
Two independently operating conveyor systems position and transport workpieces for fast, precise handling and short throughput times without retooling. The machine processes single or stacked workpieces reliably and can cut off residual wood for firewood. Chips and waste are discharged via an integrated disposal channel and outfeed conveyor.

CAMBIUM software
CAMBIUM® is the 3D production software platform for job preparation, optimization and machine interfacing. It provides simple timber-construction adapted data input, automatic calculations, continuous updates and standardized IT interfaces for office or machine-side preparation.
