OverviewThe HAUS POMAX series are continuous-system pomace oil extraction plants designed to recover oil from olive pomace produced by 2‑phase and 3‑phase continuous pressing lines. Recovered oil yield is approximately 8–12% for dry pomace and 2.5–3.5% for wet pomace. The system is modular and can be configured for seeded (seeded kneading) or seedless (seedless kneading) operation.
Pomace Preparation SectionKey components: piston pump, malaxer, paste pumps and optional kernel separator. This section homogenizes and conditions pomace before pressing, including kernel separation where required.
Pomace Processing SectionKey components: decanter centrifuge and separator. The decanter separates oil and solids; the separator polishes the oil by removing micron particles. Kernel separation can be positioned before or after the decanter depending on the chosen process flow.
Auxiliary UnitsIncludes hot water boiler and heat exchanger for malaxer heating, piston pumps for material transfer, and paste pumps (rotor‑stator with electronic speed control) for feeding the decanter.
Process Flow — Working PrincipleSeedless kneading (seed separation before malaxer)Pomace from the continuous press is transferred to a seed separator via piston pump to remove kernels. Two‑phase pomace separates into seed and flesh without added water; three‑phase pomace may require water dosing based on moisture content. Seed‑free pomace is then malaxed: sectional mixers and hot‑water jackets heat and knead the paste to release oil. The paste pump feeds the decanter where centrifugal separation yields oil and solids; oil is then sieved and polished in the separator.
Seeded kneading (seed separation after decanter)Pomace is directly fed to the malaxer without prior seed removal. After decanting, the resulting pulp containing seeds is routed to a kernel separator downstream. This layout provides flexibility to suit raw material properties and operator preferences.

POMAX PLUS 74 (2/3‑Phase) — Installed motor power: 205.04 kW; Plant equipment: Malaxer: MD - 3x5000 x2; Decanter: DDV 6642 / DDV 6643; Separator: VBA 5013‑P40; Boiler: TURBO - P600
Additional notesThe system can be configured for seeded or seedless kneading. Malaxators use hot‑water jackets for controlled heating; paste pumps employ rotor‑stator elements with electronic speed/cycle control to optimize feed to the decanter. Oil from the decanter is screened and then polished in the separator to remove micron particles.
