Overview
The DuraPack Python Side Loader is an automated side-load refuse body designed for high-route productivity and reduced operating cost. It combines a DuraPack structural body with the patented Python lift arm to deliver fast cycles, increased payload and long service life.

Performance & Productivity
The DuraPack Python achieves an industry-leading lift cycle of approximately 8 seconds, improving route throughput and lowering operating expense. Faster cycles and continuous dumping capability reduce time per stop and can materially affect annual collection costs.

Durability & Construction
Body construction uses 7- and 8-gauge high-tensile steel. Hopper wear surfaces include a 1/4-inch AR400 floor and 3/16-inch AR400 sides to resist abrasion and compaction. A fully welded, interlaced subframe resists abrasion, corrosion and salt damage. The reinforced tailgate with a 60-inch seal reduces leakage and contamination.

Python Arm & Lift System
The patented Python arm provides smooth, controlled motion and long life. Key features include:

• Lift capacity up to 800 lb (≈363 kg).
• Cushioned cylinders for smoother motions and reduced wear on chassis and arm.
• Hardened grabber gears and alloy-steel components rated for up to ~1,000,000 cycles.
• Precision geometry to minimize spillage and ensure carts return with lids closed.

Operator Experience & Controls
Ergonomic, driver-focused controls reduce cab clutter and simplify operation. The in-cab display provides real-time feedback, full body control, diagnostics and camera integration. Auto Lift automates raising to dump position with a single press.

Maintenance & Reliability
Design features reduce downtime and simplify servicing: Heil DuraMount secures the lift to chassis frames to reduce bolt fatigue; Service Smart bolt access improves serviceability; tailgate cylinders and service items are positioned for cleaner access and reduced contamination.

Common Body Strategy
The DuraPack Python uses a universal FEL/ASL common body design to increase parts commonality across front-end and side-load fleets, reducing parts inventory and simplifying technician training.
