The pleated sintered metal fiber filter cartridge is usually made into a candle shape to effectively increase the filtration area and extend the replacement cycle, thus minimizing maintenance and maximizing production efficiency. Suitable for applications that require a strong filter cartridge to resist corrosive chemicals, and are usually equipped with an external protective skeleton to protect the media and flow in the reverse direction during the cleaning process (our polymer candle filters can be easy to clean).
They are available in various standard sizes to fit industry standard filter housings, as well as various non-standard sizes and configurations. The pleated sintered metal fiber filter cartridge is made of 316L grade stainless steel and is manufactured through a welding process. The assembly process does not require the use of resin or adhesives.
The filter media are made of randomly distributed metal fiber structures, and a uniform high-porosity filter media is formed by sintering and bonding. It exhibits extremely low pressure drop, high permeability and excellent dust holding capacity. The working temperature range of the pleated sintered metal fiber filter cartridge is -269°C (-452°F) to 1000°C (1832°F), and can withstand a typical maximum pressure difference of up to 25bar (363psi) (normal flow direction). Various micron ratings available from 3µm to 300µm (nominal).
All of our pleated sintered metal fiber filter cartridge elements can be easily reused by backwashing, ultrasonic, or other non-corrosive cleaning techniques to improve economic efficiency.
