Product description
AMF03 is an albedometer mounting fixture from Hukx that combines two pyranometers into a single albedometer for simultaneous measurement of global and reflected solar radiation. It is designed for straightforward mounting, leveling and on-site maintenance and calibration, and is supplied with a metal glare screen.

Overview

• Construct albedometers from two Hukx pyranometers (examples: SR30-M2-D1, SR300-D1).
• Modular design allows individual pyranometers to be removed for indoor calibration and maintenance.
• Includes a glare screen to prevent direct sun on the downfacing sensor at low solar elevations.

Glare screen function
The supplied glare screen is a metal ring fitted to the downfacing sensor to prevent direct solar radiation being recorded by the downward-facing pyranometer at very low solar elevations, improving realism of albedo measurements. Modern QA procedures may alternatively filter low-elevation data (for example solar elevation < 10°).
