Description

PVMT01 is a high-accuracy back-of-module temperature sensor for PV modules, designed to assess and correct temperature-dependent module efficiency.

Overview
  • Designed to measure rear-side temperature of PV modules for performance monitoring and correction.
  • Compact anodized aluminium disk housing with an internal Pt1000 Class A platinum resistance thermometer.
  • Supplied as packs of ten sensors with a 1 m thin, flexible weatherproof cable and matching connector; cable extendable by the user.

Installation & use
  • Mount on the module rear near the centre of a cell, close to the module centre, as recommended by IEC.
  • Clean the attachment area with the supplied IPA wipe before fixing to ensure optimal bond.
  • IEC 61724-1 guidance: 3 sensors per monitoring station recommended; minimum 6 sensors per PV system depending on size.
  • Typical applications: long-term PV system performance monitoring, module temperature measurement for prospecting and research.
