Product overviewCompact indoor air purifier combining germicidal UV-C lamps and a photocatalytic coating to inactivate viruses and bacteria and to reduce volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Validated in real-use conditions by University of Padova and evaluated in laboratory studies.
DescriptionBKM 3.0 PROVA integrates two germicidal UV-C lamps (254 nm) and a photocatalytic coating based on titanium nanoparticles applied to patented internally shaped surfaces. A two-speed fan circulates air along an optimised illuminated flow path where UV-C and photocatalysis act together. Geometry, lamp positioning and coating dimensioning were optimised through laboratory experiments and mathematical modelling to maximise pathogen and VOC removal. Long-term laboratory tests (10 months) and real-use validation demonstrate sustained performance. The unit does not produce ozone and includes measures to contain UV-C radiation.
Highlights- Removes up to 99.5% of pathogens (validated in tests)
- Reduces VOCs such as formaldehyde, benzene and toluene
- Validated in real-use conditions by University of Padova and tested by K-INN Tech
- Development supported by airflow simulation and mathematical modelling
- No ozone production; containment of UV-C radiation
