Description

Combined brake-clutch unit The technical characteristics of these units give a minimum moment of inertia, which is essential in all those applications with a high frequency of engagement/hour and in all those cases where the moment of inertia of the brake-clutch unit is of predominant importance compared to the rest of the machine. Braking is achieved by springs, clutch engagement is achieved pneumatically. Brake and clutch are designed to never work simultaneously. The materials chosen in the construction guarantee maximum resistance to mechanical stress and a long service life of the parts subject to wear. The careful design for heat dissipation makes them particularly suitable for applications with frequent stops and starts: presses, shears, rolling mills, textile machines, machines for processing iron-plastic-paper-wood. The self-adjustment of the units and the simplicity of construction make them safe while minimizing maintenance.
