Industrial lathe specifically configured for PVC pipe threading. IMC Extra Heavy Duty model range covers pipe diameters and lengths commonly used in plumbing and assembly lines, with capacities from 50 mm to 250 mm for 3 m and 4 m pipes. Designed for production environments requiring fast loading, reliable thread quality and simultaneous inside/outside threading.

Construction
Robust cast-iron construction with precision-ground components ensures sustained accuracy and low maintenance in continuous operation. Machine architecture supports repeated threading cycles while maintaining concentricity and surface finish suitable for downstream joining operations.

Key components

• BED: High-grade cast iron bed with cross ribs and three inverted V-ways, removable gap for large swing.
• HEAD STOCK: Alloy-steel main spindle with ground finish; supported in bush or taper roller bearings for stable rotation.
• SADDLE: Hand-scraped V-ways aligned with bed and head stock; manual and automatic traverse via steel rack and pinion; cross and top slide graduated for taper work.
• TOOL-POST: One-piece steel tool-post accommodating four tools, swivelable to required angles.
• APRON: Enclosed gearing and half-nut for controlled saddle movement; all gears in hardened steel.
• TAIL STOCK: Heavy-duty design with long bearing in barrel to ensure true alignment during threading and support operations.
• THREE-SPEED GEAR BOX: Coarse, medium and fine cutting ranges; lead screw for accurate thread pitches with engagement/disengagement controls; handles for speed selection.
