ABS plastic molds injection resin is a terpolymer developed on the basis of modification of polystyrene resin. Wherein A represents acrylonitrile, B represents butadiene, and S represents styrene. ABS plastic molds injection resin has the comprehensive properties of three components: A can improve oil resistance and chemical corrosion resistance, and thus has a certain surface hardness; B makes ABS rubbery toughness and improves impact toughness; S makes ABS plastic appear good fluidity and gives it good performance in thermoplastic molding.
ABS plastic is mainly used in China to manufacture the outer casing of instrumentation, household appliances, telephones, televisions, etc., and ABS plastic molds injection plastic for electroplating, so as to impart metallic luster and replace metal. Injection molding is the main molding method of ABS plastic, and its molding mainly depends on six conditions.
- ABS plastic dry ABS plastic molds injection has high hygroscopicity and sensitivity to moisture. It can be fully dried and preheated before processing. It can not only eliminate the fireworks-like bubble and silver wire on the surface of the workpiece caused by water vapor, but also help plasticizing the plastic to reduce the color and moiré on the surface of the part.
- ABS plastic molds injection raw materials should control moisture below 0.13%. The drying conditions before injection molding are as follows: dry winter season is below 75-80°C, drying is 2~3h, summer rainy day is at 80-90°C, drying is 4~8h, if the workpiece is to achieve particularly good gloss or the part itself is complex, drying time is longer, up to 8 ~ 16h. Due to the presence of traces of water vapor, surface fogging on the surface of the part is often overlooked.
- Injection Temperature: The relationship between temperature and melt viscosity of ABS plastic molds injection plastics is different from other amorphous plastics. When the temperature of the melting process increases, the melting actually decreases little, but once the plasticizing temperature is reached (the temperature range suitable for processing, such as 220-250°C), if the blind temperature is continued, the heat resistance will not be too high.
