OverviewKaye ValProbe® RM is a wireless dual‑sensor data logger system engineered for continuous environmental and facility monitoring in pharmaceutical, biotech and regulated environments. The compact logger supports two digital sensor modules and a ValProbe RM‑B option is available without a local display for cost‑sensitive installations.
RF specifications & networkThe platform operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band using a proprietary dual‑antenna architecture to form a scalable star network. Each base station supports up to 50 wireless loggers (up to 100 sensors) and provides approximately 300 m (900 ft) line‑of‑sight coverage. Multiple base stations can be networked via Ethernet and integrated with LabWatch IoT using industry standard protocols. Loggers include local buffering to prevent data loss during connectivity interruptions.
Data redundancy & availabilityOnboard logger memory stores up to 100,000 samples per sensor (~10 weeks at 1‑minute sampling). The system automatically switches to battery power during mains loss. Gateways provide up to 30 days of local storage and synchronize data to cloud storage when connectivity is restored.
Data security & complianceAll transmitted and at‑rest data use industry standard encryption (AES‑128). The platform includes tamper‑evident mechanisms, secure key management, advanced authentication, configurable user access controls and time‑stamped audit trails to support GxP data integrity and regulatory requirements.
Modular digital sensorsValProbe RM loggers accept two digital sensor modules (temperature RTD PT100, RH, voltage, current 4–20 mA, dry contacts). Each module stores calibration data to allow hot‑swap replacement without disrupting measurement history; the system auto‑detects sensor changes and prompts eSignature verification. Sensors can be returned to ISO/IEC 17025‑accredited service centres for recalibration.
