The CA-527 is a display colour analyser for measuring and adjusting chromaticity, luminance, flicker and gamma across an expanded luminance range, supporting HDR and next-generation displays. It is optimised for stand-alone use and end-of-line (EOL) production integration while maintaining compatibility with existing CA-series probes and accessories.
Highlights
Improved luminance and chromaticity accuracy versus the CA-427 for high-contrast and wide-gamut displays.
Display analyser functions for chromaticity, luminance, flicker and gamma with enhanced repeatability and high-speed measurement.
Guaranteed accuracy from ultra-low to high luminance (0.0001–10,000 cd/m²) with a Ø27 mm measurement area.
Motorized zero-point calibration shutter on sensors for automated remote calibration.
Includes VRR flicker index plus JEITA, VESA and FMA flicker functions and high-sample-rate waveform capture for OLED and dynamic micro-LED testing.
Designed for easy EOL integration or compact PC-connected setups; maintains CA-P427/CA-310 compatibility for simplified upgrades.
Additional notes
Low-luminance measurements can be completed up to approximately 5× faster than predecessors, improving throughput in production and test environments.
Optimised optical design and adjustable sampling rates (up to 200 kHz) capture transient emission waveforms accurately.
Some measurement limits and behaviour may vary with momentary luminance spikes (e.g., PWM with small duty cycle); see manufacturer documentation for detailed tables.
